Planning Obligations Protocol
The Special Projects Team have been working on a new guidance document for landowners, developers, and our partner councils in Lincolnshire.
When new development takes place, it can increase demand on local services and infrastructure. In these cases, we expect the developer to deliver works on site, or adjacent to the development (for instance local highway improvements) and we will request that the developer pays a contribution, for instance to expand the local schools, or to support bus services.
We must make sure that new developments do not adversely impact upon the capacity of those services, or our ability to deliver them.
Caroline Walsh, Planning Obligation Manager said “We’ve worked hard with teams across LCC to create a document to provide background information for anyone wanting to develop in the County. We hope it will be useful, and we are anticipating that the City, District, and Borough Councils will also promote it.”
